Sustainable shopping habits: How can retailers play their part?

While sustainability has become increasingly important in consumer decision-making, the reality is that it's often just one consideration among many. This has never been more evident than now. Sustainable choices are not always the easiest to make and with our research showing 84% of people are concerned about the rising cost of living, making sustainable choices in these tough, economic times isn't always a straightforward decision.

According to our recent customer-centricity report, investing in sustainability is currently one of the most important strategic investments that the C-suite is making. Yet with rising inflation, higher living costs and a drastic fall in disposable incomes, how can retailers support consumers in continuing to make more sustainable choices?

We have partnered with Virtual Store Trials, a specialist retail agency, to survey close to 500 UK consumers and better understand their attitudes, behaviours and decision-making when it comes to sustainable shopping.
